🚨 Job Scams Are Real Protect Yourself! 🚨
If something feels off, trust your gut it probably is a scam.
Scammers are getting more creative, especially in the job search space. Here’s how to protect yourself and your personal information:
🔍 Red Flags to Watch For:
🚫 Strange or generic email addresses (real recruiters use company emails!)
🛑 Example: If it’s from Kelly Services, the email should end with .com not a Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo address.
📞 No direct phone number? No dice. Legit employers are transparent and reachable.
💸 NEVER give out:
❌ Your bank info
❌ Your login credentials
❌ Codes sent to your phone or email
❌ Personal details like SSN (unless you’re in the onboarding phase with a verified company)
📲 If they ask you to download a random messaging app like Telegram or WhatsApp for interviews that’s a huge red flag.
💡 REMEMBER:
✔️ You should never have to pay to get a job.
✔️ Real employers won’t ask for sensitive info upfront.
✔️ Do your homework. Look up the company, check LinkedIn, and verify the job posting directly on their official website.
Your safety matters more than any job offer. Stay alert and don’t be afraid to walk away if it doesn’t feel right.
