I am an area representative for ISE International Student Exchange, an international non-profit that promotes cultural enrichment. ISE still needs many loving host families who would love the opportunity to host one of our high school exchange students for the semester or full school year.
We are now accepting "welcome families" who can commit to opening your home to a student for 8 weeks until October 15. We will find a permanent host family when they arrive. The student will arrive a week before school starts. Most of the time, "welcome families" decide to host the student for the entire time. If you like the idea of hosting, but are on the fence, perhaps this is a good option for you.
Most Austin area high schools can only accept 5 exchange students per year and there are still many openings available for our students at local high schools.
