When real estate companies outsource AR, they typically choose between two models: shared managed services or a dedicated specialist hire.
Shared services make sense when AR volume is moderate and you want someone else handling the function entirely. A provider manages the work, brings their own systems, and you interact with the output.
A dedicated hire works better when volume is high, continuity matters, and you want someone who becomes familiar with your tenants, your payment patterns, and your edge cases. They work inside your systems, not a third party's.
The distinction matters because the providers built for each model are different. BPOs set up for shared services aren't always the right fit for companies that need a dedicated specialist embedded in their workflow.
