Had the opportunity to volunteer with VFW Post 5404 today, helping give the bathrooms at the Opelika Fairgrounds a much-needed facelift. We removed old, worn-out materials, replaced fascia boards, and made solid progress improving the building’s appearance and function.

🛠️ Another future Airman is taking flight! ✈️

This week, Rylan Hutfless shipped out to Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, where he began Basic Military Training (BMT) and officially started his journey with the United States Air Force!

Once he conquers 7.5 weeks of BMT, Rylan will head to tech school to begin training as a 2A333 Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice. In this role, he’ll be the hands and brain behind the jets—inspecting, servicing, and repairing some of the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world.

Whether it’s keeping F-16s, F-35s, or A-10s mission-ready, Rylan will be playing a crucial role in maintaining air superiority and ensuring our pilots return home safe.

Another motivated future Airman is on his way! ✈️

Today, Uriah Sullivan shipped out to Lackland Air Force Base, Texas to begin Basic Military Training (BMT)—the first step in his journey with the United States Air Force!

After completing 7.5 weeks of BMT, Uriah will head to tech school to train as a 2G0X1 Logistics Plans Specialist. In this role, he’ll be the brain behind the mission—coordinating the movement of personnel, equipment, and supplies across the globe to ensure everything gets where it needs to be, on time and ready to go.
