JOB LOCATION: Midland, MI

AVAILABILITY: Candidate MUST be available for days, evenings, nights, weekends and holiday shifts. Direct Care Workers should expect to be scheduled every other weekend.

JOB SUMMARY: Direct Care Workers advance the mission of the agency by providing support services to adults and children who have developmental disabilities and/or mental illness. These supports and services are identified in the person- centered plans of individuals served, and are typically oriented toward assisting the person to overcome limitations imposed by their disability while encouraging greater independence, health and safety, happiness, and a more productive life based on the preferences and choices of the persons served. Shifts may be assigned in clients’ homes and apartments. Shift lengths are established by the funding agencies (Community Mental Health, Department of Human Services, etc.) and may be anywhere from 1 hour to 12 hours in length. Multiple shifts may be assigned daily including days, evenings, nights and weekends and travel between locations is required. Transportation of clients in a personal owned vehicle (POV) is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist clients in a home setting with:
• Companionship
• Meal preparation
• Personal care (hygiene, medication administration, dressing, toileting, etc.)
• Errand running (shopping, doctor’s visits, etc)
• Light housekeeping, light maintenance and laundry
• Community activities
Assume responsibility for menu planning and grocery shopping as assigned
Complete required paperwork (log entries, medication logs, incident reports, weekly monitoring forms, etc.) within required timelines
Attend monthly House Meetings.
Attend periodic Staff Meetings and Trainings as directed.
Maintain availability to accept last minute schedule changes, additional shifts, overnight sleeper shifts, etc.

SUPERVISED BY: Staffing Coordinator. May also be supervised by a Lead Staff member.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent. CMH Trained preferable.

Job Title: General Laborer – Assembly Line
Reports To: Assembly Team Lead/Assembly Supervisor
Job Summary: The General Laborer on the assembly line is assigned to a specific work cell on the assembly line and is required to perform job duties specific to that work cell such as: top installation, furniture installation, wall installation, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
• Follows all pre-established installation and quality methods, procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency of work
• Reads order-specific job travelers and/or engineered drawings to ensure each order is produced to specifications
• Uses various hand tools, power tools, and air tools (saws, staplers, drills, grinders, screwdrivers, rivet guns, sanders, etc.)
• Completes job duties as needed within assigned work cell
• Completes all job duties within given time constraints
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Cross-trains between several different jobs
• Cleans and maintains work area
• Pursues continuous improvement to improve efficiency of job duties and work flow
Job Requirements:
