Maintain equipment in like new condition through a world class preventative maintenance program. Develop key metrics that drive continuous improvement in both staff and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct employees in repair of electrical and mechanical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical codes, manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Schedule and assign employees to daily task of maintaining production equipment via work orders – Follow up to ensure work is completed.
Schedule maintenance technicians and maintain database for equipment calibrations such as spark testers, lump-neck and line counters.
Provide leadership and support to guide employees in testing malfunctioning machinery using test equipment and discuss malfunctions with other maintenance workers to properly diagnose malfunction.
Provide leadership and support of Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
Access existing equipment and process deficiencies, by working with other operation team members, including process engineers. Modify equipment and/or processes to achieve Principal Objective.
Directs/manages the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
Negotiates and develops relationships with vendors to ensure we are getting the best prices.
Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
Ensures maintenance associates are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that maintenance activities can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
Manages the maintaining of a computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders, and maintenance history of production equipment.
Tracks, analyzes, and improves key maintenance metrics such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

• Previous technical supervisory experience demonstrating the ability to manage.

• Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems with electronic controls.

• Five years of electrical experience with manufacturing equipment.

• Five years of mechanical experience with manufacturing equipment.

The position of Electrical Supervisor is located at the Joyce, LA sawmill operation. This position will be responsible for safety, ex*****on of electrical/maintenance work, cost management, and quality.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

Manage electrical and instrumentation departments to improve efficiencies and ultimately reduce costs.
Disseminate technical knowledge to hourly staff via in-house training to enhance the technical and troubleshooting skills of the personnel.
Lead safety-related inspections and training to enhance and promote the safety culture.
Assist in troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, and control issues to minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
Here’s What You’ll Need:

Five-plus years of experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Broad maintenance experience in a sawmill or industrial environment
Prior proven experience as a supervisor and leader
Demonstrative safety leadership with knowledge of safety procedures (NFPA 70E, Arc Flash)
High awareness of quality control practices

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Manager – Cordele, GA (OSB Plant)

Description

In conjunction with the GM, develop strategies and programs to maintain compliance with applicable Local, State and Federal regulatory requirements and achieve World Class safety within the Mill. The role requires a hands-on approach to provide pro-active occupational health and safety support to site employees to achieve the goal of zero TIR. In addition, this position is accountable for stewarding implementation of safety management systems and programs to achieve and maintain zero recordable injuries, ensure compliance of OSHA General Industry Standards.

What you will do:

Identify, assess (i.e., measure) and communicate conformance with regulatory and corporate safety expectations.
Identify safety-training requirements and facilitate development and implementation of safety training programs.
Develop and implement systems and metrics (leading and lagging) to track and communicate safety performance.
Develop and steward implementation of strategic safety improvement initiatives to achieve world-class safety culture (as measured by Safety Star certification.)
