🚂 ALL ABOARD! Atherton’s Train Station Begins a New Journey

For more than 150 years, Atherton’s historic train station has connected people, communities and generations across the Peninsula.

Originally known as Fair Oaks, the station began as a simple flag stop before growing into the unique glass-enclosed station many remember. It witnessed some of the Peninsula’s most important moments, from the 1906 earthquake to the evolution of rail travel from steam locomotives to today’s electric trains.

After closing in 2020, the historic station is now entering a new chapter as the Atherton Train Station Museum. 🏛️🚆

Join the Town of Atherton as we celebrate the restoration and opening of this special piece of local history!

📅 Sunday, October 18
⏰ 2–4 p.m.
📍 Atherton Town Center

Peninsula Clean Energy Is Now WestLight Energy

Peninsula Clean Energy is now **WestLight Energy**. Effective July 1, the community electricity provider updated its name and brand to better reflect the communities it serves.

For Atherton residents, service and rates are not changing. WestLight Energy will continue providing clean electricity from sources like wind, solar, geothermal, and hydro, while PG&E continues to deliver electricity and maintain the poles and wires.

A small leak can waste water day after day without you even noticing. This summer, take a few minutes to check faucets, toilets, and outdoor fixtures around your Atherton home and fix leaks when you find them.

Saving water also helps reduce the energy needed to move and treat it. 🌿

Late summer heat can have irrigation systems working overtime. Help conserve water by choosing drought-tolerant landscaping, adjusting your watering schedule, and capturing rainwater for your yard whenever possible. 🌱💦

Small changes can make a big difference for our community and our environment. 🌎
