Peninsula Clean Energy Is Now WestLight Energy

Peninsula Clean Energy is now **WestLight Energy**. Effective July 1, the community electricity provider updated its name and brand to better reflect the communities it serves.

For Atherton residents, service and rates are not changing. WestLight Energy will continue providing clean electricity from sources like wind, solar, geothermal, and hydro, while PG&E continues to deliver electricity and maintain the poles and wires.

A small leak can waste water day after day without you even noticing. This summer, take a few minutes to check faucets, toilets, and outdoor fixtures around your Atherton home and fix leaks when you find them.

Saving water also helps reduce the energy needed to move and treat it. 🌿

The nomination period for the November 3, 2026, General Municipal Election is now open. If you're interested in serving on the Atherton Town Council, nomination papers are available through the City Clerk's Office.

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬:
1. Nomination Period Opens: Monday, July 13, 2026, at 8 a.m.
2. Nomination Deadline: Friday, August 7, 2026, at 5 p.m.
3. Extended Deadline (if applicable): Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 5 p.m.

𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐭:
• Three (3) Town Council seats with four-year terms ending December 2030
