Blue Ridge Event Staffing has saved my life. A native of Asheville, I spent decades living in NYC and LA, returning to be closer to family in 2011. Finding few jobs offering a living wage, I decided to start a company to fill that void. In LA I worked with Wolfgang Puck doing special events like The Grammys and The Oscars. When I returned I was impressed by how Asheville had grown and become a destination, not only for weddings but for conferences, festivals, fundraising galas, marathons, the list goes on and on! We do it all, from sending waiters to assist with backyard barbecues to staffing Harrah's annual New Year's Eve gala and everything in between.

What is the key to a great event? Sure, having a great band or DJ is nice. So is lovely floral and good lighting. A big crowd with lots of energy? That’s nice too. Having a gifted orator to MC really helps too. A big spread of great food is also a big plus. So is a great bar with killer cocktails and skilled bartenders. But none of these things by themselves make for a truly memorable or great event. The one thing that does? Hospitality.

Through hospitality, we communicate to your guests that “we’re glad you’re here,” and that is the thread that weaves all of the other elements together. A warm smile to serve a cold drink, a thoughtful compliment, someone to subtly let you know that you that you have spinach in your teeth before you get back to your table, someone to look out for you, someone to make you and every guest feel welcome.
