Friday Workforce Solutions had the opportunity to volunteer alongside amazing members of SHRM WNC at Food Connection. Team members from Friday Workforce Solutions, Champion Credit Union, Asheville Chamber, and Kimmel Benefits came together in support of this SHRM WNC Volunteer Day.

Our group spent the morning preparing meals that will be delivered throughout the community to individuals and families in need. It was rewarding to work together, give back, and support an organization making a meaningful impact across Western North Carolina.

Thank you to Food Connection for all you do, and to everyone who volunteered their time and energy. It was a great day of fellowship, teamwork, and service.

Inventory Support Associate (Temporary)
📍 Murphy, NC
🕒 Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
💲 $20/hour + $40/day gas reimbursement

Quick Assignment:
2 week assignment (June 1 - June 12)

About the Role:
Friday Workforce Solutions is urgently hiring reliable, hardworking individuals to jump into a fast-paced inventory project at an auto parts store. If you’re dependable and ready to work, we need you ASAP.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Moving and organizing automotive parts
Assisting with inventory counts
Stocking, sorting, and labeling products
Helping update inventory systems
Keeping the workspace clean and organized

What We Need From You:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable on your feet all day
Detail-oriented and dependable
Previous warehouse/inventory experience is a plus (not required)
Ready to start immediately

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we enjoy the freedoms and opportunities we have today.

To the veterans we have the privilege to work alongside each day, thank you for your service, sacrifice, and leadership.

We want to highlight two veteran organizations we are proud to support and volunteer with - the Veterans Healing Farm and ABCCM Veterans Quarters. Both are improving the lives of veterans and their families across Western North Carolina, and we are honored to support their mission in a small way.
