🎶 A Little Piece of Country Music History — From 1943! 🎶

You just never know what treasures from the past are going to turn up! I recently came across this incredible 1943 country music radio promotional calendar, featuring some of the singers, musicians and radio personalities who helped pave the way for the country music we know today. 📻🎸

Among the faces pictured are Patsy Montana, Martha Carson, Hank Penny, the Briarhopper Family, the Bunkhouse Jamboree Gang and many others. The calendar even includes an old Peruna advertisement, a sponsor connected with country radio programming during that era.

Think about it — 83 years ago, families were gathering around their radios to hear performers like these. No streaming, no social media, no Spotify — just a radio signal, talented musicians and songs that traveled into homes across America. ❤️🎶

As someone who has loved and played music for most of my life, I think pieces like this are fascinating. Country music has come a long way, but every generation of musicians stands on the shoulders of the ones who came before them. 🤠🎵

Thought my fellow country music and history lovers would enjoy seeing this one!

🎶I had the opportunity to listen to Zain Braden Saturday night, and what a talented young man!

One of the highlights of the night was hearing him honor the legendary Dolly Parton with a beautiful performance of “I Will Always Love You.” ❤️🎶 I also got to enjoy some great country covers and hear some of Zain’s original music and he did not disappoint!

If you haven’t followed this young man yet, head over to his page and give him a follow! 👏 And if you ever get the chance to see him perform live, take that opportunity you won’t regret it! 🎤🎸

Keep an eye on Zain Braden… I have a feeling we’ll be hearing a lot more from him! ⭐️

I was hoping and praying this was fake, but sadly, it isn’t. 💔😭 What a tremendous loss. Dolly Parton was truly one of a kind—an absolute legend with a heart as beautiful as her music. 🦋🎶🌸 Rest in peace, Dolly. Your music, kindness, humor and incredible legacy will live on forever. 🙏🏻💗🎤🕊️
