LEVEL II MECHANICAL DRAFTSMAN
Essential Job Duties:
Use Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems to prepare drawings.
Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to create and complete set of fabrication drawings and specifications.
Utilizes Word, Excel and nesting software in the creation and use of various electronic forms.
Purchasing material for jobs
Work closely with production planning to optimize design for cost and fabrication efficiency
Work on multiple and diverse projects simultaneously
Work, coordinate and interact with vendors for the fabrication of parts
Participate in shop Continuous Improvement training, activities, projects.
Assist other functions as needed; such as purchasing, quality, customer service, and sales.
Working with and maintaining customer relationships
Qualifications
Knowledge of mechanical drawing and design principles
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, shop floor documentation, customer specifications/electrical diagrams, and instructions provided by Engineers/Managers.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Positive, detail oriented personality
Ability to read information and instructions and interpret and analyze contents from materials such as technical reports.
Ability or knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Excel, Word, Outlook
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Familiar with machines, tools, equipment operation & capability
· EDUCATION:
Associates degree, preferably in drafting and/or design (Required)
An equivalent combination of relevant experience and education may meet this requirement.
· EXPERIENCE:
Drafting Knowledge: 3 year (Required)
CAD: 3 year (Required)
Drafting Workplace Experience: 3 year (Required)
Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop and crouch, push, pull, reach, grasp, and feel.
The employee is required to lift more than 50 pounds rarely and/or 25 to 50 pounds occasionally and move around large areas or to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects unassisted or with the use of a fork list, hand truck or hoist.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
