Pride Month celebrates the power of authenticity — being seen, valued, and accepted for who you are. That same belief is at the heart of how we build relationships at Lunova.

“The more open and honest we are, the more we can truly help people find the right fit. When people feel safe to show up as themselves, they perform better, collaborate better, and ultimately grow faster.”

— Shaun Higgins, Senior Recruiting Manager

A bigger salary isn’t always enough to get passive candidates interested.

Today’s top talent wants opportunities that offer purpose, growth, and flexibility. As Kristen Edelmann shared, “As much as we want candidates to join our client, we want them to do what’s best for them and their family.”

At Lunova, we help companies:

✦ Identify what truly motivates your ideal hire.
✦ Craft offers that resonate with their personal and professional goals.
✦ Build a narrative around why your role is the next best step for them.

Mike Novak puts it simply: “We don’t sell opportunities to people. We understand who they are and what is important to them.”

Memorial Day is a time to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice, dedication, and sense of purpose continue to inspire the way we lead, support others, and build strong teams every day.

As you enjoy the long weekend — whether you’re traveling, spending time with family, or gathered around the grill — take a moment to reflect on the true meaning behind the holiday and those who made it possible!

A great message on resilience, teamwork, and staying focused on the bigger picture. The small daily efforts really do add up over time — one shovel at a time. 💪

from Becky Reeves on LinkedIn:

Some life lessons I’ve learned from dirt… My husband and I have moved more dirt and rocks in the past few weeks than I have in the rest of my life combined. It has me thinking about the John Welbourn quote "Training is like moving a big a$$ pile of dirt. Some days you use a shovel, some days you use a spoon — but as long as you move some dirt every day, you’re headed in the right direction." It's easy to see how this quote applies to physical work, but it also applies very easily to many non-physical jobs. 1. Stay in shape. In a world of AI and “life hacks,” some things just require hard work. Keep yourself in the mental and physical shape needed so that when hard work comes up, you can handle it. 2. Get yourself a good team. If you can’t do it alone, make sure you have someone helping you and let them carry their portion of the work. Let them use their strengths and allow yourself to use yours. Side note – some dogs are not super helpful in physical labor, but are pretty good at overseeing / providing company. 3. Focus on your "Why." If you’re doing something for the right reason, no matter how hard it is, you will feel rewarded when you’ve accomplished what you’ve set out to do. When it feels like you're on your billionth shovel of dirt, or when you knock over the wheelbarrow carrying the rocks, don’t give up, it will be worth it to push through. Happy shoveling! 😊

We love this take. The qualities that make the biggest difference are often the simplest ones: mindset, communication, consistency, and the way people show up for others.

And yes, every team needs a Mags! 🐾

from Kristen Edelmann on LinkedIn:

When I’m in my home office, Mags is my copilot… so she’s heard a lot.

Figured I’d share a few of the things we’ve picked up on along the way:

• Most people don’t have it as figured out as it might seem, which is pretty normal so you are not alone!
• A high IQ is great, but what actually stands out is how someone shows up, how they communicate, how they treat people, their ability to read the room, consistency, curiosity, mindset and energy.
• There’s a lot of mixed messaging out there around follow up...“Don’t chase, let it come to you” vs. “follow up and show interest.” If you want it, it’s okay to say it. If you don’t, you can say that too.
• You can usually tell when something isn’t right pretty early, we just like to talk ourselves out of it.
• Mindset is everything. If you go into a project, job, or situation already convinced it can’t be done, you’ve probably decided the outcome before it even starts. Challenge your thinking or step away from that project if you can.

Mags’ main contribution so far: she sent a draft email that just said “hi” to a client’s team. If you want more, she’s here for it.

Every couple of months, our team has the opportunity to volunteer at Beverly’s PGH Birthday Parties at the Bradley Center, and be part of memorable celebrations for kids in our community.

Today’s beach-themed party brought all the summer vibes: bright colors, big smiles, and a lot of fun! ☀️

Zack Neil, Talia Peccon, and Maggie Angiulo played beach bingo, made colorful sand art, sang happy birthday, and got to celebrate with some really great kids.

We always look forward to these parties and are grateful to be part of them.

We spent the last few days at the ERE Recruiting Innovation Summit in Atlanta connecting with industry leaders and learning from some of the best in recruiting and sourcing.

The event sparked a lot of important conversations around innovation, talent strategy, and the future of recruiting, and we’re excited to bring those ideas back with us!💡

A great experience all around, and a great opportunity for Stephanie Carroll, Olivia McKenna, Toni Fama, and Talia Peccon to represent our Talent Sourcing team.
