The PEERS program focuses on skills that socially successful people used in a variety of common social situations like:
- joining group conversations
- handling negative comments
- identifying what makes a good friend
- using humor appropriately
- turning a classmate into a friend
Participants leave with a toolbox full of social skills they adapt to their personality, their interests, and the type of friendship they are looking for.

Love of Rose had an amazing week at the National Project SEARCH Conference in St. Louis, Missouri!

We learned new ways to strengthen partnerships with businesses and our community, connected with professionals from across the country, and brought back ideas to better support our interns on their journey to meaningful employment.

A big congratulations to Holloman AFB – 49th Wing for being recognized for achieving a 70% or higher job placement rate for Project SEARCH interns! Thank you to everyone who makes these opportunities possible for our students.

We even made time to enjoy an MLS match before heading home. We're grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and can't wait for next year's conference in Orlando!

I had the opportunity to present at the P2C Conference and share the work we are doing in Southern New Mexico. I am grateful for the chance to spread awareness, connect with new people, reconnect with familiar faces, and learn from the incredible work teachers are doing in their classrooms every day.

Together, we continue to make a difference by learning, collaborating, and supporting student success.

Today I had the opportunity to attend the resource presentation to WNMU and reconnect with my friend Dr. Magdaleno Manzanares.

We also met with community leaders and organizations from Texas and New Mexico to discuss community needs and learn about new consular services and resources.

As Executive Director of Love of Rose LLC, I shared the transportation challenges many individuals face in rural communities such as Deming, Sunland Park, Chaparral, and Alamogordo. These conversations are important as we continue advocating for better access to services and opportunities for the people we serve.
