National Scouting Report (NSR) was founded in 1980 with one goal in mind: Provide college coaches and student athletes help with the college recruiting process. The founder of NSR, Bob Rigney, saw first-hand with his eldest son Curtis Rigney the struggles parents, coaches and athletes go through during the recruiting process. What began as a monthly scouting report, detailing resumes of a handful

of high school athletes, has grown into what is now - over 30 years later - one of the most successful on-the-ground college scouting organizations in the world. And with countless technological advances since then, NSR is now able to provide student-athletes and their families more exposure to colleges than ever before.

The World’s Largest On-the-Ground Basketball Scouting Organization

National Scouting Report (NSR) was founded in 1980. Today, NSR is the largest on-the-ground high school basketball scouting organization on the planet.

Our team of scouts focuses on personally finding prospects who fit the NSR profile. These are high school prospects who possess solid athletic skills, a keen desire to play at the college level, good to excellent academics, and strong character.

We scour many parts of the United States and a number of foreign countries in an effort to identify, enroll and promote these student-athletes to college coaches at every level of American college basketball. We do this by assertively and effectively marketing our clients both on a widespread as well as a targeted basis.

Perhaps most impressively, our scouts and home office staff of experienced personnel serve as advisors for our families throughout the prep recruiting process. Meanwhile, our scouts build lasting relationships with college coaches all across America. This allows NSR to discover coaches’ recruiting needs, share them with other NSR scouts, then personally recommending NSR-affiliated players who potentially match those needs.
