Harness Assembly/Production
Pay = $14/hr.
- $0.50 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift contractors
Currently have openings on all shifts currently
1st shift = 8am-4pm
2nd shift = 4pm-12am
3rd shift = 12am-8am
Typically will not work a lot of overtime while on contract, but may work some once trained depending on business need
- Secure proper types and quantities of tubing and fittings according to instructions on job routings and building templates
- Assemble proper fittings to tubing and tighten fittings as specified, avoiding crossing of threads
- Setup and run automated cutting equipment, including loading reels into payouts and string tubing through machine and ability to navigate the operator interface
- Troubleshoot and calibrate equipment as needed
- Manually manipulate tubing into fixtures requiring hand strength. Push loaded carts in and out of ovens and cooling chambers to produce quality products
- Perform respool operation including pressure testing while paying particular attention to quality, required line speed and recording accurate data
- Perform packaging operations including: build spools, package finished products, operate stretch wrap machine, utilize crane to move large reels, and apply appropriate labels for final shipping
- Setup depth marking machines which includes checking the tolerance of distance between end of tube and depth mark using the vertical height gage
- Set up assembly tables using mylar and retrieve head fixture assembling harness according to mylar template. Form tubing fixture using correct part number, traveler and training paper for assembly
- Tape assembled tubing fixtures using repetitive wrist motions up to seventy per minute. Required grip strength up to 70 lb. force through the grip and 10-20 lb. force to pull and rotate the wrist around the harness
- Operate steam forming machine which includes startup/shut down procedures, loading of product along with necessary quality checks
- Ability to complete all necessary production paperwork which includes production numbers, quality checks, day by hour sheets along with updating any information on the team boards.
