Kira Road Police Division yesterday conducted a comprehensive assessment of the impact of community policing through a series of community engagement activities held at Kololo Secondary School.
The activities, organized by the Divisional Police Commander (DPC) Kira Road, SP Suubi Sam, brought together students, teachers, and police officers with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of community policing initiatives in secondary schools.
The day’s events featured active participation from various schools through activities such as quizzes, poetry, role plays, and entertainment, all focused on promoting crime prevention, discipline, and strengthening police-community partnerships.
The assessment was graced by the Commissioner for Community Policing, CP Anatoli Muleterwa, SSP Jonathan Musinguzi, the Regional Police Commander (RPC) KMP East, SSP Don Muhwezi, the Community Liaison Officer (CLO) KMP, alongside ASP Archilies Atwebambere, CLO KMP East, and other officers and stakeholders.
As part of the day’s concluding activities, a friendly football match was played between teachers under the Kira Road policing area and police officers attached to Kira Road Police Division. The match symbolized unity, teamwork, and the strong partnership between the police and the community.
