Direct Medical Assistance is hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to own product quality end to end: from sprint-level testing to the company-wide Quality Management System (QMS). You will embed in Scrum teams, build and scale our test automation, and set up the processes, documentation and audits that keep our products reliable and compliant.

🎯 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
• Quality in Scrum delivery:
* Act as the quality voice in every Scrum event: refinement, sprint planning, daily scrum, review and retrospective.
* Shape acceptance criteria and the Definition of Ready and Definition of Done with Product Owners and developers.
* Plan and run functional, regression, integration, API, performance and exploratory testing within each sprint.
* Track defects, analyse root causes, and report quality metrics (defect leakage, escape rate, test coverage) to stakeholders.
• Quality Management System (QMS):
* Design, implement and maintain the company QMS: policies, SOPs, work instructions, templates and records.
* Align the QMS with recognised standards such as ISO 9001, and with ISO 13485 / IEC 62304 where products require it.
* Run document control, change control, CAPA, risk management and traceability (requirements to tests to releases).
* Plan and lead internal audits, support external audits, and drive continuous improvement from findings.
* Train teams on QMS processes and keep quality practice lightweight enough to fit agile delivery.
• Test automation:
* Define the test automation strategy and test pyramid across UI, API and unit levels.
* Build and maintain automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, REST Assured, Postman).
* Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) as release gates.
* Mentor QA and development team members on testing practice and automation.
📋 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Deep, hands-on knowledge of the Scrum framework: roles, events, artifacts and agile testing practice.
• Proven experience setting up and running a QMS, including SOPs, document control, CAPA and internal audits.
• Strong test automation skills in at least one language (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or Java) and modern frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control (Git) and test management tools (e.g. Jira, Xray, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Solid grasp of API testing, SQL and basic performance testing.
• Clear written and spoken English; able to explain quality risks to technical and non-technical audiences.
💡 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲:
• Compliance: working knowledge of regulatory and security frameworks such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 27001, IEC 62304, SOC 2, HIPAA or GDPR, and experience preparing for audits or certifications.
• Health tech: background in digital health, medical device software (SaMD) or healthcare platforms, including validation, risk management (ISO 14971) and data privacy for patient information.
• Certifications such as ISTQB (Advanced or Agile Tester), Certified ScrumMaster / PSM, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
• Experience testing mobile apps and cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure or GCP).
