CTG Global is seeking a qualified Field Engineer to support infrastructure construction and rehabilitation activities under the Enhancing Community Resilience and Local Governance Project II (ECRP II). The role will involve technical supervision, field monitoring, construction quality control and coordination with communities and project stakeholders.
ποΈ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
πΉ Support implementation of ECRP II infrastructure activities in line with approved procedures, project manuals and templates.
π Provide technical support for design reviews and modifications according to field conditions.
π· Monitor and supervise construction activities in coordination with the Senior Field Engineer.
π Prepare technical documentation, including measurements, drawings, scopes of work, Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates.
π Conduct technical assessments to determine the feasibility of community-requested infrastructure projects.
ποΈ Conduct regular field visits to monitor project implementation, materials, equipment, workmanship and compliance with contract specifications.
π Prepare construction inspection and progress reports, including measurements, quantities, labour usage, photos and documentation of variations.
π¦Ί Ensure Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) requirements are followed at project sites.
π€ Work closely with engineering teams, community development committees and government officials.
π₯ Support community participation and capacity building for local committees involved in supervising construction works.
π‘οΈ Promote a respectful working environment and uphold prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA).
Infrastructure activities may include water supply, sanitation, stormwater management, roads and culverts, primary healthcare centres, primary schools, markets and other community infrastructure.
π EDUCATION
β
Bachelorβs Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or another relevant discipline from a recognized institution;
OR
β
Civil Engineering Diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
β A Masterβs Degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage.
πΌ EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
βοΈ Relevant professional experience in engineering or construction management of infrastructure projects.
βοΈ Experience managing contractors.
βοΈ Ability to understand civil and architectural drawings and enforce compliance on site.
βοΈ Ability to understand and implement electrical or mechanical works is an advantage.
βοΈ Experience working in remote field locations is an advantage.
βοΈ Computer literacy in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
βοΈ Additional skills in CAD, GIS and data collection software are desirable.
βοΈ Experience using community participatory approaches is highly desirable.
βοΈ Knowledge of single-storey buildings, linear infrastructure and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) principles.
βοΈ Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
βοΈ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
π£οΈ LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English is required.
β Fluency in Arabic and local languages is desirable.
