Field Service engineer job - ( X-Ray machines Engineer/Technician )
Job Description:
+ Installs (deploys) and performs commissioning for equipment (X-Ray machines) at different sites. Maintains Service Management System and Teams platform to properly initiate, organize and maintain all installation related files until work is completed with the strong focus on scope delivery withing the agreed deadlines. Demonstrates initiative and dedication through positive use of downtime and an overall willingness and eagerness to consistently exceed customer expectations.
+ The applicant must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Maintains at least an intermediate technical level of products range knowledge. The main role is to be involved in a special project. Has a sound knowledge of business PC applications (MS Word, Excel & Power Point) and able to effectively use them to provide clear, concise information summaries as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
+ The role will require a significant amount of travel mostly domestic within Sudan.
+ Responsible for meeting daily service needs with regards to installation activities and driving customer satisfaction.
+ Installs equipment in the field; provides customer familiarization training as required
+ Plays the role of technical lead on the project working closely with the other stakeholders.
+ Documents all installation work and submits paperwork in a timely manner
+ Responsible for reporting product quality issues/concerns identified during the installation and live operations environment.
+ Ensures that relevant tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
+ Seeks to provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required.
+ Complies with and ensures Service Department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies
+ Other duties as required.
Skills & Experience
+ Electro-mechanical qualification or equivalent technical training/experience in X-ray machines and radioactive equipment. Equivalence achieved through comparative work and life experience is acceptable (>3 years work experience in a related electrical or mechanical field service role).
+ Computer literacy: competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.
+ 1-2 years of experience is highly beneficial, being directly involved in field service/installation of electro-mechanical and electronic systems/equipment.
+ Individuals should possess good communications skills and have a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork. Must be willing & able to travel sometimes at short notice and stay away from home for the duration of the project.
+ While supervision is not considered a primary responsibility of this position, there will be instances where supervision of others on a project basis is required.
+ Mid-level of oral and written English to be able to communicate with multiple stakeholders .
+ Possess excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask several projects at once.
+ Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
+ Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable individual
+ Self-starter, being able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
