International FMCG company is looking for Associate Manager, Demand Planning:
1) Lead, coach and develop the country group demand planning team to evolve demand planning, supply chain, and overall business skills and knowledge.
2) Lead S&OP Step2, ensuring an 18/24-month rolling forecast in APO, participate to local S&OP Step 1 and escalate to local S&OP step 4 and 5 in collaboration with the Country Group Business Integration Manager and/or to Regional Step 3
3) Use and maintain current demand planning systems to create the best forecast possible using established processes. Where applicable, utilizing the statistical feed in the system from the demand support hub.
4) Collect and analyze past/future demand inputs (such as distribution gains/losses, price changes, new/discontinued products and promotion plans) from sales and marketing, and calculate their impacts on demand.
5) Work with various cross functional partners on projects such as new product launches, discontinuations, and transitions to evaluate assumptions (pre and post launch) – new product forecast, pipeline fill, and cannibalization.
6) Collaborate with Customer Marketing, and Finance for advertising and promotional activities – timing, expected market pe*******on, reaction (uplift, cannibalization on other items/brands) and evaluate against performance from similar historical activities.
7) Ensure demand forecast is shared in level of detail and timing required by internal customers and supply chain partners with documented assumptions, communicating forecast confidence, and tracking risks and opportunities.
8) Analyze input gaps as identified by forecast error/bias review & root cause analysis and address them in collaboration with key partners in marketing, sales, and finance
9) Work with supply chain partners to identify and address unbalances between demand plan and supply availability and related implications on the demand plan
10) Measure, analyze, and communicate key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators, while driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
1) Higher education, preferably economics, supply chain management, engineering, or a related business field
2) Strong coaching and people management skills
3) People management experience is a must
4) English – fluent
5) Strong leadership with proven ability to drive action and influence decision making at all levels of the organization
6) Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate with business stakeholders
7) Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands
8) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
9) Proficiency in process improvement
10) Ability to work within high-performing virtual teams in highly collaborative environments
11) Quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs
12) Knowledge of finance, sales, marketing and R&D functions is a plus
The following experience is considered essential:
1) Minimum of 5 to 7 years of Supply Chain or Business experience
2) Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated results and working in a team-based, cross functional environment, preferably experience with the standard S&OP processes
3) 1 to 2 years of management or leadership experience
4) Experience working in the CPG industry
5) Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience using PC-based applications (such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and/or Access) and SAP.
