*1. Romanian Citizenship by Descent (Art. 10 & 11)*
If a grandparent or great-grandparent left Romania for the US, you may be eligible for an EU passport — full visa-free travel, and the right to live, work, study or retire anywhere in the EU, while keeping your US citizenship. We handle the full file: genealogical document sourcing, US-side apostilles (Secretary of State), certified translations, the language-certificate exemption check, and filing at your nearest Romanian consulate.

A *Confirmation of Citizenship Status* (also called a citizenship verification or "proof of citizenship/loss" request) is a written request filed with the Romanian National Authority for Citizenship (ANC), asking them to confirm — based on their records — whether your ancestor held Romanian citizenship, and if/when/how it was lost. It's typically used as supporting evidence when an ancestor's citizenship history isn't fully documented, either before or alongside your main Article 10/11 file.
What we'd handle for you:
- Reviewing what documents you already have and identifying the gap
- Drafting and submitting the formal request to ANC, with the required supporting records (birth/marriage certificates, civil status records, any prior citizenship-related acts)
- Following up with ANC and interpreting the response for your file
💰 Our fee for this service: $450 flat — credited toward our full citizenship application package if you move forward with us afterward
