Mechanical Technician Offshore
Our client, a world’s leading Geo-data specialist that serves clients around the globe, predominantly in the energy and infrastructure industries by collecting and analysing comprehensive information about the Earth and the structures built upon it, is currently looking for a Mechanical Technician.
Job description
• You are part of geotechnical survey team and you will be working in a team of specialists for about 4 weeks at a time on board of our vessels abroad (an average of 150/195 days a year)
• You are responsible for interpretation of geophysical data (side scan sonar data, single and multichannel seismic data, magnetometer data);
• You make sure the specialized equipment is working perfectly and you take care of the necessary maintenance activities both Offshore as well as at our warehouse;
• You take care of writing of technical reports and completing set tasks reliably and cooperatively;
• You work on projects for site investigations for clients in the oil and gas industry and renewable energy e.g. the development of offshore wind-farms;
• You follow training at our warehouse in Europe to make sure that you get familiar with our specific geotechnical equipment and that your knowledge is always up-to-date (initial training will be a period between 1 – 2 months);
• You maintain appropriate quality standards even when under pressure and demonstrate thorough awareness of and compliance with the QA/HSE system and its’ requirements.
Requirements
• You have a High School/Secondary education in the mechanical field and preferably previous offshore experience;
• You have the availability to work 180/195 days offshore per annum;
• You have good communication and language skills in English (written and spoken);
• You have an adventurous attitude and positive approach to problems, you are optimistic and cooperation-oriented.
