In today's morning trip we had common dolphins (Delphinus delphis), plenty of s***m whales (Physeter macrocephalus) and happy clients (Homo sapiens)!😁

Bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) is a species that we can see year-round in the Azores.
If you think on a dolphin, this is usually the species that you think about because unfortunately, is the one most often chose to have on captivity.

Few days ago we had a beautiful encounter with a group of juvenile s***m whales (Physeter macrocephalus). They started to breach and tail slap!

In the Azores, the s***m whales are often spotted in groups (called pods). Pods include females and their young, while males may roam solo or move from group to group. Females and calves remain in tropical or subtropical waters all year long, and apparently practice communal childcare. Males migrate to higher latitudes, and head back towards the equator to breed.
