🇵🇱 FAQ — MOS II (Moduł Obsługi Spraw)
Poland is gradually introducing the new MOS II electronic immigration system for handling residence permit and related immigration matters digitally. Many people currently have questions about how the system will work in practice.
Here are some of the most common questions we are receiving:
❓ Will MOS II make the process faster?
At the moment, nobody can guarantee exact processing times yet. However, the goal of MOS II is to simplify procedures, reduce paperwork, improve communication, and hopefully make the process faster and more transparent in the future.
❓ If I already applied before, do I need to apply again through MOS II?
This depends on your individual case and the stage of your current application. In many situations, existing applications may continue under the previous system. Always follow official instructions from the urząd or consult a professional before submitting anything again.
❓ Can I still use a lawyer or company to help me?
Yes. Applicants can still receive legal or professional assistance during their immigration procedures.
❓ Can I give Power of Attorney (Pełnomocnictwo)?
Yes. You can authorize a lawyer, legal representative, or company to represent you in immigration matters through a Power of Attorney. Our team also provides professional assistance and representation services in these procedures.
❓ What are the photo requirements?
The photo requirements generally remain similar to Polish residence permit standards but digital format as jpeg:
• biometric/passport-style photo
• clear white background
• recent photo
• neutral facial expression
• proper size and quality according to official requirements
❓ Do I need a Profil Zaufany?
Yes, in many cases a Profil Zaufany or other electronic identification method may be required to access and use digital government systems.
❓ How can I create a Profil Zaufany?
A Profil Zaufany can usually be created:
• through selected online banking systems in Poland
• online with identity verification
• or at designated government confirmation points
MOS II is part of Poland’s broader move toward digitalization and modernization of immigration procedures. While many details are still developing, the system aims to create a more organized, transparent, and secure process for applicants, employers, and institutions.
