🚨 IMPORTANT: MOS 2 changes
From 27 April 2026, applications for:
• Temporary Residence Permit (TRC)
• Permanent Residence Permit
• EU Long-term Resident Permit
➡️ will ONLY be submitted online via MOS 2

📌 Even after online submission, you must still attend an appointment for:
• fingerprints
• original documents
• possible additional paperwork

If your legal stay ends before or shortly after 27.04.2026, submit a paper application ASAP.
Paper applications must arrive at the Voivodeship Office no later than 26.04.2026 (not the posting date, only delivery matters)

⚠️ MUY IMPORTANTE:
Se recomienda a las personas cuya estancia legal finalice antes del 27 de abril de 2026, o dentro de aproximadamente dos semanas a partir de esa fecha, que no retrasen la presentación de su solicitud de permiso de residencia en Polonia y que la presenten en formato impreso lo antes posible.

La solicitud en papel deberá llegar a la oficina del voivodato a más tardar el 26 de abril de 2026.
Si se recibe después de esta fecha límite, no será considerada (quedará sin evaluación); la fecha de envío no se tendrá en cuenta.

will only be possible electronically via the new MOS 2 portal 🚨

Please note:

Even though the application is submitted online, you will still be required to attend an appointment at the office for fingerprinting, presenting original documents, and possibly submitting additional paperwork.

Make sure to prepare all required documents in advance (digital photo, full passport scan, payment confirmation, and signed attachments), as the system will not allow submission without them.

The new MOS II system is coming 🚨

Once the new system is launched, residence permit applications must be submitted online.

If your visa or residence permit is expiring by the end of April, you can still apply by post for now. Your documents must arrive at the immigration office before the launch date. The key factor is the date of receipt, not the date of sending.

Late submissions may not reach the office in time and could be left without consideration.

The Office for Foreigners has issued a notice encouraging foreign whose residence permits expire between mid-March and the end of April 2026 to submit their applications for new residence permits as soon as possible in paper form.

This strongly indicates that the new electronic system (MOS 2.0) may be launched very soon. The official announcement is expected to be published at least 14 days before the system becomes active.

👉 What should you do now?
If your residence permit or visa is expiring soon:
Submit your application without delay
Prepare all required documents in advance
Avoid waiting until the last moment

We also recommend:
Setting up a Trusted Profile (Profil Zaufany) or activating a qualified electronic signature — required for electronic applications once MOS 2.0 is launched
Applying for a PESEL number if you do not have one yet (processing may take around 2 weeks)
Following official updates regarding the new system
