FEDERAL SKILLED PROGRAM
The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is easier than the most popular immigration stream in the entire Express Entry program. It is the fastest immigration program meant for working professionals. Applicants are assessed on the basis of their abilities and potential to directly contribute in terms of workforce power to the regional and national economy and those who meet the criteria are chosen for entry into Canada as permanent residents.

Currently Canada has high demand occupations, most of which are processed through the Express Entry stream. Though the eligibility criteria for FSW is rather relaxed, when compared to the immigration requirements of developed countries across the world, the bulk of applications received each year make successful selection a challenge in itself. Eligibility/Requirements for Federal Skilled Worker Program:
The following is a list of requirements necessary to be able to apply for immigration to Canada through the Express Entry program. Please note that these criteria are subject to change without prior notification so it is advised to stay abreast with the latest developments in this industry:

Candidates applying through the Express Entry program are required to have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a full-time capacity in their relevant job field.
Candidates need to identify their occupation in one of three Training, Education, Experience and Requirements (TEER) categories – TEER category 0 (Managerial Occupations), TEER category 1 (Professional Occupations) or TEER category 2 (Technical Occupations and Skilled Trades).

EXPRESS ENTRY – THE FASTEST GATEWAY TO CANADIAN IMMIGRATION
This pathway allows skilled and talented workers worldwide to live and work in Canada on a permanent basis. The main purpose of the express entry program is to invite skilled individuals to have them contribute towards Canada’s economic growth.

It works on a point-based system (CRS) where candidates create their online express profile and are assigned points based on their qualifications. Applicants with the highest points in the pool are then invited to apply for Permanent residency.

The express entry further utilizes 3 application pathways to invite different skillful people to pursue their careers in Canada permanently. These include

Canadian Express Class: for professionals with prior work experience in Canada
Federal Skilled Worker Program: for professionals with prior work experience outside Canada (foreign employees)

Moreover, the profile can be updated anytime in the pool. If an ITA is issued, the applicant has 90 days (with no extensions) to submit application and supporting documents. CIC selects top ranking applicants through draws almost twice every month. Those who have approved job offers (with an employer who has a Labor Market Impact Assessment, LMIA) or who have been nominated by a province will receive their ITA relatively quickly, as they will be at the top of the rankings.
