MoU Between Pakistan HVACR Society & NFC Faisalabad

The Pakistan HVACR Society is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NFC Institute of Engineering & Technology (NFC-IET), Faisalabad.

The MoU was signed on behalf of Pakistan HVACR Society by Mr. Yousuf Hasan, President, and Mr. Abdul Raheem, Chairman, Faisalabad Chapter. Representing NFC-IET, the agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Waqar Ali Khan, Convenor Industrial Liaison, and Dr. Umair Munir, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department.

This collaboration aims to strengthen academia-industry linkages by providing students with opportunities for technical training, internships, seminars, workshops, industry exposure, and professional development.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to preparing future engineers and bridging the gap between academic learning and industry needs.

Islamabad Chapter Welcomes New Members through Certificate Distribution Ceremony

The Islamabad Chapter proudly organized a Certificate Distribution Ceremony to welcome and recognize its newly inducted members. The certificates were presented by Mr. Mian Arif Hussain, Chairman Islamabad Chapter, who congratulated the new members and encouraged them to actively contribute towards the growth and advancement of the HVACR profession.

The ceremony provided an excellent opportunity to formally acknowledge the commitment of new members and strengthen their connection with the professional community. A meeting of the Local Council of the Pakistan HVACR Society Islamabad Chapter was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Mian Arif Hussain to review and plan key upcoming activities of the chapter.

The council discussed arrangements and finalized planning considerations for the Business Idea Competition 2026 (Final Round), including the event date and organizational requirements. Members also deliberated on the planning and scheduling of the chapter's Family Get-Together and discussed the organization of future Technical Seminars and professional development activities.

In addition, the meeting focused on the chapter's future roadmap and strategic direction, with an emphasis on strengthening member engagement, promoting innovation, and expanding professional and technical initiatives for the HVACR community.

Pakistan HVACR Society Karachi Chapter successfully organized an Industrial Visit to Mehran Plastic Industries for the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students of Indus University under the chairmanship of Mr. Khalid Mansoor, along with Mr. Farrukh Ashraf (Honorary Secretary) and Mr. Rashid Shafiq (Honorary Media Secretary).

The visit was arranged with the objective of providing students with valuable practical exposure to modern manufacturing processes, industrial operations, quality control practices, and engineering applications in a real-world industrial environment.

Such initiatives play a vital role in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, enabling future engineers to gain firsthand knowledge of professional practices and technological advancements. The students actively participated throughout the visit, demonstrating keen interest in understanding the production processes and operational systems implemented at the facility.

Career Counseling Session on Global Academic Opportunities Successfully Conducted at CUST

Pakistan HVACR Society and ASHRAE NPC jointly organized a Career Counseling Session titled "Building a Global Academic Career: International Study, Scholarships, Research, and Opportunities Abroad" at the Capital University of Science & Technology (CUST), Islamabad.

The session was delivered by Dr. Syed Atif Iqrar, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Teesside University, United Kingdom. Drawing upon his extensive international academic and research experience, Dr. Iqrar provided valuable insights into higher education opportunities abroad, scholarship applications, international student life, research pathways, and the skills required to build a successful global academic career.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from CUST students, who actively engaged in discussions and gained valuable guidance regarding international study and research opportunities.

Technical Seminar on VRF Systems

A technical seminar on “Introduction of the VRF System and VRF Operation & Maintenance” was successfully conducted, at Pakistan HVACR Society, Anwar Sadaat Secretariat, Karachi Chapter. Session providing participants with valuable knowledge and practical insights into the fundamentals, operation, maintenance, and optimization of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems.

The session highlighted the importance of energy efficient HVAC solutions, system reliability, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices for achieving optimal performance. Such technical knowledge sharing initiatives play a vital role in enhancing professional expertise and promoting excellence within the HVACR industry.

A special note of appreciation to Engr. Zeeshan Jameel for delivering an informative and engaging presentation and sharing his valuable expertise with the participants.
