In the field of veterinary medicine, we have often overlooked the necessity of state-of-the-art equipment to supplement the needs of our pets. A veterinary center fitted with veterinary instruments is one of the first fundamental steps ensuring an optimal succession of operations for all veterinary practitioners here in the Philippines. With this vision in mind, Southvalley Veterinary Clinic introduces the launching of Veterinary Referral Center Ph in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. Where we improve pet health through innovation.
The goal of this establishment comes from our collective recognition on the imperative need of equipment. From sophisticated machines to top-notch imagery equipment, the access to this equipment isn’t merely a privilege but is an important tool in reinforcing a culture of revolutionary veterinary medicine, one that doesn’t settle with sub-optimal health service. This makes us the first of its kind in the Philippines, a veterinary health care center that caters sophisticated veterinary equipment. In totality, this venture is hinged upon a long-built recollection in advancing the field of veterinary diagnostics and treatment in the Philippines. Truly, a history in the making.
This facility will cater referral cases from other veterinary clinics nationwide. The procedure works through veterinarians referring their patients to VRC Ph to obtain the appropriate diagnostic procedure for an accurate diagnosis. We will be housing some of the most sophisticated diagnostic imaging modalities in veterinary medicine in the country. Our diagnostic imaging suite include MRI, Fluoroscopy, and Endoscopy. In addition to that, we also have a hemodialysis factility which serves as our treatment procedure facility. We are truly guided by the belief that pets in the Philippines deserve nothing but the best innovatory veterinary care.
MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI)
Being the first veterinary facility in the Philippines and the third in Southeast Asia to provide MRI services for animals, we recognize the need of an MRI machine and its implications to progressive veterinary healthcare. This machine is utilized to map and depict visual representations of the nervous systems for both humans and animals. An MRI is considered a current gold standard for nervous system imagery outputs. It provides high-quality images with excellent detail and resolution of the brain and spinal cord, comparatively better than its inferior counterpart being widely used, computed tomography. Being a common diagnostic imaging tool, we believe this is an important machine to advance our veterinary needs. With this machine luckily right at our disposal, we can absolutely formulate quick and more accurate diagnoses beneficial in instances of brain and spinal cord diseases.
HEMODIALYSIS
Hemodialysis is a clinical treatment for acute and in some cases chronic kidney disease. It is a form of blood purification that is used to treat animals with kidney disease or intoxications. During a hemodialysis session, your pet is being closely monitored. The things we keep on a look out for are things such as: Blood work, heart rate, and respiratory rate. Alongside the operation of this machines, we make sure to check your loved ones regularly to make sure they are doing well while receiving extraordinary treatment. FLUOROSCOPY
In the field of Fluoroscopy, we offer C-arm Fluoroscopy as our available equipment of choice. C-arm Fluoroscopy is a type of advanced imaging that allows us to view the inner structure and bodily systems of the pet while in locomotor movement. Similar to a radiograph or the well-known X-ray, we ought to capture the insides of your pet while they are in motion. This is done by its intricate procedure of taking multiple shots in rapid frames which depicts the illusion of movement in real time as we sequence them together. This machine can provide a complete evaluation of procedures such as cardiology and swallowing dysfunctions. ENDOSCOPY
We added the endoscopy machine in our inventory for an important reason. In general terms, The purpose of this procedure is to help your veterinarian make a diagnosis of the disease that has been causing your pet's clinical signs of vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, abdominal pain or swelling or loss of appetite. Basically, the usual symptoms that trigger a warning for owners to take their pets to the vet. Endoscopy is a technique that could supplement this need. It is a medical procedure that performs natural openings in the body or through one or more tiny holes. An endoscope inserted in the body magnifies internal structures on a TV monitor for thorough examination. Our endoscopy facility can perform the following procedures: rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy, otoscopy, gastrointestinal endoscopy.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
This noble project is founded and spearheaded by Dr. James Lester Ruiz Castronuevo. Because of his visionary goals in providing unrestricted access to sophisticated veterinary equipment, he established a revolutionary veterinary facility that is ultimately helpful for patients needing optimal care. On his days being situated abroad to work in various animal hospitals in Singapore and Hongkong, he was astounded by the amount of advanced equipment that holistically improved the vet culture in these countries. He envisioned his home country, the Philippines, will be on par with other Asian nations through the quality of services being rendered to patients in terms of veterinary health care. He believes having access to this equipment is surely a profound place to start. Truly, a committed man to his passion.
