Isinusulong ng 81 Arangkada Pilipino Partylist ang pagdoble ng kasalukuyang daily allowance ng mga tech-voc scholars mula 160 php at itaas ito sa 320 php upang matugunan ang kanilang pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan habang sila ay nagaaral.

Batid ng grupo na hindi sapat ang kasalukuyang halaga upang masustentuhan ang pagkain, pamasahe, at iba pang gastusin ng mga estudyante.

“Like many of us, our technical and vocational students are also struggling with the high cost of living. Most of them are breadwinners for their families or dependents, trying to learn and acquire new skills so that they can compete better,” Cong. John Bertiz III said.

“Most of our TVET students have to juggle their work and study in between their already hectic schedule. Some of them have given up their work altogether in order to have more time to complete their courses,” he added.

Bertiz, a known technical and vocational skills advocate, explained that the daily allowance of TVET students could hardly make both ends meet with the increasing prices of food, transportation, and for some even their monthly utility bills.
