Job Title: Principal Data Scientist, Marketing Intelligence - Remote Graveyard Shift (Full-Time)
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with ui/ux designers, software engineers, and product managers to create products that customers love.
- Utilize a wide range of technologies including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, etc. to extract insights from large volumes of numeric and textual data.
- Develop machine learning models from design to implementation, including training, evaluation, and validation stages.
- Utilize strong interpersonal skills to translate complex work into tangible business objectives.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Curiosity and Creativity: Thrives on defining and solving big, undefined problems. Enjoys asking questions and finding answers. Open to sharing new ideas. Able to clearly and effectively communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
- Technical Proficiency: Has hands-on experience developing data science solutions from concept to production using open-source tools and modern cloud computing platforms. Comfortable handling petabytes of data.
- Statistical Mindset: Has experience building, validating, and back testing models. Familiar with confusion matrix and ROC curve interpretation. Experienced in clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series analysis, and deep learning.
Basic Qualifications:
- In the process of obtaining or already having a Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of data analytics experience, or a Master's Degree plus three years in data analytics, or currently obtaining a PhD. The required degree should be obtained on or before the scheduled start date.
- At least 1 year of experience in open-source programming languages for large-scale data analysis.
- At least 1 year of experience with machine learning.
- At least 1 year of experience with relational databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in data analytics.
- At least 1 year of experience working with AWS.
- At least 3 years of experience in Python, Scala, or R.
- At least 3 years of experience with machine learning.
- At least 3 years of experience with SQL.
