Camarines Sur Sports Academy exists with pride as an educational and training center for potential athletes in Camarines Sur. It is a DepEd accredited school that offers elementary (Grades V-VI) and secondary (First to Fourth Year) education. The Restructured Basic Education Curriculum (RBEC) with the Special Program for Sports (SPS) is adapted when it was approved by the former Regional Director
Celedonio L. Camarines Sur Sports Academy was recognized as the first authentic sports academy in the country. It started with an enrolment of 115 students, all full scholars, in school year 2006-2007. Students are in-house for one school year (10 months) for formal instruction in RBEC and training on specialized sports under the SPS. As a of the special project of Governor Luis Raymund Villafuerte Jr. and the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur. CSSA is fully funded by the province which includes free food, dormitory accommodations, PE/sports uniforms, school supplies and medicines for students and cash honoraria of teaching and non -teaching personnel during sports competitions, sports equipment and supplies, medicines, insurance, cash incentives for sports competition winners, travel and other incidental expenses.
