Katas ng 4 years sa Call Center.
I just want to share my BPO application journey way back 4 years ago when I was just a newbie on this industry.
Takot talaga ako mag-apply sa Call Center dati. Kasi High School Graduate lang ako at hindi ako ganun ka confident sa English ko. Year 2016, nag try ako mag apply. Initial interview palang ligwak na. I failed 6x sa iba't ibang BPO Companies including Teleperformance na first failed interview ko. Hanggang initial interview lang ako sa lahat. Then I decided to stop. Then, may isang recruiter na nangungulet saken na mag-apply. I decided to try one last time. Finally umabot ako ng final interview but I failed. They re-profiled me to different LOB (Line of Business) at nag undergo ulet ng another final interview. After interview, another waiting time para tawagin ulet name ko for the result. That was past midnight already at gutom na ako. I arrived sa Recruitment Center umaga palang. Then my name was called and the recruitment representative congratulated me that I am hired. Then, another waiting time for the Job Offer. Around 1AM, I signed my Job Offer. I did not care how much the salary offer was. All I cared that I was hired. Yes, umuwi ako ng madaling araw bibit ang Job Offer ko.
Fast forward, I am still working in the same building where I was hired 4 years ago. The original BPO Company who hired me was acquired by Teleperformance. My first account was one of largest bank in the UK and my role was Personal Banker (Voice) then after 2 years I was assigned as Chat Banker under the same UK Bank for about 7 months. Then I was transferred to my current account now which is the world largest card payment network as Fraud Analyst doing Back office tasks.
