Today is World Mental Health Day, and this year's theme is "Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change."

Life on board brings its own pressures. Months away from home, demanding schedules and limited contact with family can weigh on anyone. Every seafarer's experience matters, and every voice deserves to be heard.

Since we introduced our confidential helpline with International Seafarers' Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN) in 2022, our seafarers have continued to reach out, and many return for ongoing support. It's a sign that people feel comfortable speaking up and trust that help is there when they need it.

We are committed to creating an environment where every seafarer feels safe to speak up, confident that they will be heard, respected and supported. Because when people feel safe to speak, we build stronger crews, healthier workplaces and safer operations.
