Please be informed that MARINA’s SID/SRB systems experienced a cyberattack on August 13, 2026, resulting in the temporary suspension of regular SID/SRB processing nationwide.
MARINA is working with DICT and its systems providers to secure the systems, protect database integrity, and restore normal operations.
For seafarers with immediate deployment requirements, expedited appointments may be accommodated at any MARINA SID/SRB Processing Center.
Confirmed regular appointments affected by the system downtime will be honored and rescheduled without additional cost once operations are restored.

We encourage our seafarers to stay informed and follow official MARINA advisories for further updates.

The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) informs the public that the SID/SRB systems 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐜𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 on 13 August 2026, resulting in the temporary nationwide suspension of regular SID/SRB processing.

Immediately following the incident, MARINA initiated corrective and security measures in coordination with the DICT and systems providers to secure the infrastructure, protect database integrity, and safely restore normal operations.

Meanwhile, 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬) 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐀 𝐒𝐈𝐃/𝐒𝐑𝐁 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫.

In view of the issuance of Memorandum Circular No. 127 by the Office of the President, operations and services at the MARINA Central Office and MARINA Regional Office - NCR, Trium Square Building, Pasay City will be SUSPENDED today, Monday, 17 August 2026, 12 NN.

However, the THEORETICAL EXAMINATION will proceed today, as scheduled. Seafarers who will not be able to take the examination may apply for “RESCHEDULE WITHOUT PAYMENT” or “RESIT WITHOUT PAYMENT” in the MISMO system starting 18 August 2026.

Meanwhile, the CONDUCT OF PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT in affected areas may proceed at the discretion of the concerned Assessment Centers (ACs).

Also, seafarers who are scheduled to process their MARINA Professional License ID today at the MARINA Regional Office-NCR may process their application any day within the week starting 18 August 2026.

Regular operations and services will RESUME on Tuesday, 18 August 2026.
