ADVISORY: spot impersonators & "pay to apply" scams with POEA’s official advisories and verification tools
The page impersonating Fil-Overseas Employment Services, Inc. (FOESI) and demanded a "cash bond/slot fee" has been taken down. This update is to guide applicants on how to avoid similar scams by verifying legitimate job offers.
POEA Advisories 63-2020 and 83-2020 warn the public that fake & unsolicited job offers on FB requiring payments before deployment through GCash or bank transfer, are common signs of a scam. AGAIN: NEVER PAY FEES BEFORE DEPLOYMENT.
Always verify that you are speaking with a licensed agency or its approved employer client before engaging. Here's how:
1. Check POEA's official portal for approved job orders of the recruiting agency: https://dmw.gov.ph/archives/v1/approved-job-orders
2. Confirm that the recruiting company is a licensed POEA agency or its approved client. If not, THEY ARE A SCAMMER; DO NOT ENGAGE FURTHER.
Please note that FOESI only communicates through our official FB page, and will NEVER request payment from applicants: https://www.facebook.com/Fil.Overseas/
If you receive suspicious messages using the FOESI name, send us a screenshot so we can verify and report it. Stay safe and be vigilant.
