Between the non-stop rains, rising floods, and heavy anxiety, these past few days have been exhausting for so many of our 𝙠𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙨.

Yet even in the deepest floodwaters, 𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙝𝙖𝙣 never drowns. From strangers rescuing stranded commuters to neighbors sharing hot meals, we keep proving that no storm is stronger than our care for one another.

To everyone affected: please hang in there. You are not alone.

The IMCA's latest annual safety report shows positive overall progress, but it comes with a vital wake-up call for the entire maritime industry.

🔍 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 & 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻

1. 𝙍𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙞𝙨 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙍𝙞𝙨𝙠 𝙃𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙨: Most fatal and life-altering incidents occur during familiar, everyday tasks—not during rare offshore emergencies.

2. 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙊𝙗𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝘿𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 20%: Worker hazard reports fell noticeably. Unreported hazards mean missed opportunities to intervene before a catastrophic incident occurs.

3. 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙛𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙨: IMCA stresses that safety success should no longer be judged solely by injury frequency rates, but by how effectively companies identify and control high-consequence hazards.

- Across over 1 billion working hours logged by offshore contractors, day-to-day injury rates dropped across the board.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙙 𝙁𝙡𝙖𝙜: 𝙁𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 & 𝙎𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙚
- Despite fewer overall injuries, fatalities more than doubled year-over-year.
