In need of Project Manager
Key responsibilities
• Initiate the project
o Work with the Product Manager to initiate the project and set it up for success.
o Agree project objectives and ensure alignment.
o Check feasibility and work out budgets, teams and resources
• Resourcing & role definition
o Ensure resource availability and allocation.
o Define project roles and ensure all stakeholders are clear on their roles (examples: Product Manager; Scrum Master; Solution Analyst; Engineering; Solution Development)
• Coordinate resources and activities
o Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
o Producing schedules and timelines for tasks - in accordance with the needs of your project.
o Coordinate the project team to keep them on track and keeping the project on budget.
o Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Risk identification and management o Identify and manage risks to ensure delivery is on time
• Project closure
o Close the project - including evaluating successes and challenges to enhance learning for your next project.
• Benefits tracking
o Track and verify benefits from Enterprise Solutions products and track vs targets for the team.
• Scrum master
• Where required, be the scrum master for agile project teams
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a project manager who is driven, curious, and wanting a challenge. Theyneed to be comfortable working in a relatively autonomous role and working with remote teams. They should demonstrate a proven track record in successfully coordinating and managing multiple commercial projects, working with a wide variety of stakeholders; supporting projects; overcoming roadblocks; and providing clear and compelling communication to senior stakeholders
Candidates requirements:
Experience:
• Minimum 4+ years’ experience in a project management or a related role.
• Experience in related roles (e.g. Consultancy, Business Analyst) is an advantage.
• Experience in working directly with senior directors is an advantage.
• Experience working autonomously and with remote teams is an advantage.
• Experience working on projects involving business applications development and maintenance, business transformation is an advantage.
Education:
• Degree from a good university.
• Project Management qualifications (e.g. APM / PMP / PRINCE2 / CAPM) is an advantage
Communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written (presentations, reports, documents) and spoken, in order to influence on key decision makers on sometimes difficult topics.
• A team player that is adept at building trusting relationships within the business in order to enlist their participation and support.
Project management and delivery:
• Experience in tracking and driving forward multiple projects; briefing senior stakeholders on progress.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, fast-moving and complex projects simultaneously.
• Ability to critically challenging ideas and assumptions in a constructive and collaborative manner.
• Resourceful, curious and proactive in approaching problems.
Technical skills:
• Excellent proficiency in Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
• Strong in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
