Capt. Mark Cardenas, Marine Manager / Alternate DPA of WSM Singapore Fleet, visited the Manila office to conduct a face-to-face briefing with Senior Officers scheduled to join their respective bulk carrier vessels.
The session focused on operational alignment and reinforcement of company standards across the fleet. Comprehensive discussions were carried out covering vessel management, inspection readiness, maintenance planning and ex*****on, reporting standards, safety culture, and overall operational discipline onboard.
Capt. Cardenas emphasized the importance of proactive leadership, proper follow-through of maintenance items, timely and accurate reporting, and maintaining high standards during internal and external inspections. The briefing also highlighted the need for strong coordination between ship and shore to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant vessel operations.
The visit provided an open platform for direct engagement with the joining officers and strengthened alignment on the expectations and operational objectives of WSM Singapore Fleet.
