Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled furniture production professional to join our furniture manufacturing company in Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production of custom furniture, including kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, wardrobes, office furniture, and other residential and commercial furniture projects.

The ideal candidate must be able to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings, convert design concepts into production-ready solutions, supervise factory operations, manage production teams, and ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee the manufacturing and installation of kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, wardrobes, office furniture, and custom-made furniture.
* Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and technical details.
* Convert design and architectural plans into practical production solutions.
* Prepare production plans and coordinate workflow to ensure efficient manufacturing.
* Plan material requirements and optimize production processes.
* Supervise and manage factory workers, assigning tasks and monitoring productivity.
* Ensure all products meet quality standards and project specifications.
* Coordinate with installation teams to ensure proper ex*****on on site.
* Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of all work.
* Identify and resolve production and installation issues.
* Maintain a safe and organized working environment and enforce health and safety standards.

Requirements

* Minimum 10–15 years of experience in furniture manufacturing and interior fit-out works.
* Extensive experience in the production and installation of kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, wardrobes, office furniture, and custom furniture.
* Strong ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, architectural drawings, and detailed production drawings.
* Ability to transform drawings and project specifications into accurate production outputs.
* Strong knowledge of woodworking materials, including MDF, plywood, laminates, melamine boards, veneers, and hardware fittings.
* Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, and workflow management.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and quality-control abilities.
* Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for factory production operations.

Preferred Qualifications

* TESDA Carpentry NC II / NC III or equivalent vocational certification.
* Experience in high-end residential, hospitality, office, and commercial fit-out projects.
* Previous experience working on international projects is an advantage.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on professional who can lead by example, manage a production team effectively, understand technical drawings in detail, and ensure that all furniture is manufactured and installed according to project specifications, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
