📢 IMPORTANT HEALTH AND PRE-DEPLOYMENT REMINDER TO ALL SEAFARERS

In compliance with the latest instructions from our principal, all new applicants and re-joining crew members are reminded to strictly maintain the required physical and medical standards before deployment.

All crew members must take proper care of their health during their vacation period through a balanced diet, regular exercise, weight management, and proper monitoring of existing medical conditions.

⚠️ Please be guided by the following:

✅ All Medical Certificates and PEME results will be strictly reviewed.

✅ Re-joining crew members must report any significant changes in their health or physical condition.

✅ Any existing medical condition and maintenance medication must be declared honestly during the medical examination and pre-deployment screening.

✅ Deployment may be placed on hold if abnormal medical findings or disqualifying conditions are identified.

❌ Deployment is prohibited when the crew member’s BMI exceeds 30 and multiple underlying medical conditions are present.

❌ Deployment is also prohibited when the crew member has more than two underlying medical conditions.

Examples of medical conditions that must be properly declared include:

• Hypertension
• Diabetes
• Hyperlipidemia
• Fatty liver
• Other existing or newly diagnosed medical conditions

Failure to disclose an existing medical condition or maintenance medication may result in the cancellation or postponement of deployment.

We strongly encourage all seafarers to maintain a healthy lifestyle and undergo regular health monitoring. These requirements are strictly implemented to protect the safety and well-being of every seafarer and to prevent medical emergencies onboard.

For affected or concerned crew members, please coordinate with the KP OCEAN office before undergoing deployment processing.
