The Korea Plant Association conducts a skill test to hire foreign welders.
The skill test is not conducted in Korea, but in the Philippines.
The Korea Plant Association is looking for welders who passed the skill test conducted in the Philippines.

Foreign qualification requirements
1.Acquire welding-related certification
-Limited to certificates in FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding technology by applying AWS, etc., which are commonly used in Korean shipyards.
2.Photographs of more than 2 years of experience after obtaining the certificate.
3.A person who has passed the on-site skill verification.

Business Progress Procedures
1. Selection of foreigners from employment companies
2. Employment companies apply for skill verification for selected foreigners.
3. The Plant Association conducts competency verification for more than 30 people in each country.
4. Issuance of a recommendation letter from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to pass the competency verification.
5. The company that has been issued a letter of recommendation applies for a visa for the relevant foreigner( E-7-3 VISA
