We're looking for a full-time Website Developer + Virtual Assistant who can build, update, optimize, and maintain websites that perform well (fast load times, good UX, conversions, SEO basics).
No entry-level—this role needs someone with real experience delivering functional, professional sites or major updates.
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop, customize, and update websites (new builds, redesigns, ongoing maintenance)
• Work primarily with WordPress (themes, plugins, custom code) or similar platforms
• Implement design changes, fix bugs, improve site speed/performance/security
• Add features like forms, e-commerce (WooCommerce), integrations, landing pages
• Optimize for mobile/responsiveness, basic SEO, and user experience
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure sites are secure/up-to-date
• Handle light VA tasks (research tools/plugins, backups, admin coordination)
Must-Haves:
• 2+ years proven experience as a Web Developer, WordPress Developer, or similar (freelance/in-house)
• Specific results/examples you've delivered (e.g., "Built 15+ client sites, improved page speed by 40%, launched e-commerce store generating X sales") — share in application!
• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript; proficient with WordPress (Elementor, custom themes/plugins a plus)
• Experience with tools like Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, or page builders
• Portfolio required: links to live sites you've built/updated (or screenshots + explanations if private)
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, proactive
• Self-starter with good US time-zone overlap for communication
Nice-to-Haves:
• Experience in [your niche, e.g., e-commerce, coaching, real estate, personal brands]
• Basic SEO knowledge (on-page, speed optimization)
• Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, PageSpeed Insights, FTP/cPanel, Notion/Slack
• Knowledge of basic PHP, custom coding, or other CMS (Webflow, Shopify)
