Your managers are everyone’s first call. Where do they take their own questions?

Our Manager Essentials programme gives managers time to work through the conversations and decisions they face at work. They practise how to give feedback and address performance concerns, then discuss their experience with a facilitator as they apply their learning.

That practical support is what we aim to deliver, and why feedback like this matters to us.

Manager Essentials is one of our RBPN-registered programmes. Eligible businesses may receive up to 50% cofunding for Manager Essentials, subject to local Growth Advisor approval.

Our first event in the building, and a lovely way to start!

Last night, we welcomed One Mahurangi Business Association and its members to People Inc Group for their AGM.

One Mahurangi gives local businesses a voice on the issues affecting Warkworth and creates opportunities to connect, learn and support each other. We were chuffed to open our doors and support the important work they do for local businesses.

Thank you to the One Mahurangi team for choosing our space, and to everyone who came along.

They'll work alongside people who've been with you for years, deal with your customers and represent your business when you're not in the room. So understanding the role is only part of what we need to know.

There’s usually a window where a people issue is still relatively easy to deal with.

You’ve noticed something isn’t quite working, but there’s time to ask questions and decide what to do next. That’s a much better place to make decisions from than waiting until you’re forced to act.

So if something has been sitting in the back of your mind, bring it up. You don’t need a diagnosis or a proposed solution. Sometimes getting another perspective early is enough to stop a small issue becoming a much bigger job later.
