Today's Top Tip: Sell yourself

In the current market, you have to be able to once your foot is in the door make sure they remember you.

Be confident and trust that you are in front of them for a reason and they want you as much as you want them.

You just have to figure out if all the things line up for you.

We have seen this recently where a candidate has spoken to a recruiter and then they have returned a list of companies their CV has been "sprayed to". this could be 7 companies or in some cases up to 14 companies.

Now this is not good for you or the recruiter. Some of these companies may well have a role for you but not all of them will and then you have shot your ability to approach that company for up to 12 months.

Be very clear when talking to recruiters or even when directly approaching companies when looking. If you can't recall all the places your CV has been sent or where you are at with your CV then you may have sent your CV to far and wide.

Be specific
Be Controlled
and Be Concise

That will get you a job faster than sending it to 15+ places at once.

It's Pink Shirt Day and we at the office here strongly support this cause.

It is easy and it costs nothing to be kind, so if given the chance always be kind. be inclusive of people, cultures and situations and you will find yourself getting a lot more out of every situation.

This day is about anti-bullying and to stamp that out we look to embrace diversity and inclusion.

So the team and even Kai (Yasmin's Dog) get in on the act with a pink collar, there were cupcakes but they didn't last to the photo opportunity.

Today's Top Tip: Little Extras for your CV

This is the chance for a first impression so make it a good one and lead with your best foot forward. Here are a few tips to remember and the key one is the person reading your CV doesn't know what you have left off and it may be relevant.

it could be the job you had at Macers while studying, the job you took during covid that wasn't really what you wanted, or the short contract role work you did between jobs.

Include it all and then you can talk through them and you never know, We have had so many hiring managers that like Macers as it has good training models, a short stint fills the timeline on your CV

It all counts ๐Ÿ™‚
