Workforce Central Dunedin was so privileged to participate in the University of Otago Ignite programme. The Ignite student consultants developed a framework to incentive ordinary businesses to do good in the community through their commercial contracts.

Check out their amazing work presented at the Uni Business School on Thursday evening 14 May 2026

The tradies at the hospital site know it’s faster, healthier and much more fun to cycle to work and we are keen to support this. 🚲🚲🚲

Do the same and join the Aotearoa Bike Challenge this Februari and your ride to work could actually mean you could be winning some amazing prizes aswell. 🏆🎁

A Big Thank You to Jaime!

For the past year, Jaime has been our on-site barber here at WFCD coming in once a fortnight, offering free haircuts and someone for the workers to talk to unrelated to work.

Through this initiative, Jaime has completed 245 haircuts and with the support of generous donations has raised $1,940 for charity.

He also owns his own barbershop called MaiBarbers for anyone looking for a fresh cut and great conversation!

“It’s Thank Your Cleaner Day!
Here at WFCD we are so proud of Michella, who does the cleaning at our office and on the new Dunedin Hospital site! Here’s what she had to share about her experience working with us.
“I enjoy my job at Workforce Central Dunedin, it is very different to other work I have done, and I love getting out on site and into the energetic atmosphere of construction.”
