I feel fortunate to work with great clients. Some - when we begin working together to fill a role - haven’t had the experience of using a recruiter before, previously choosing to recruit themselves. These clients are often shocked at the process! Feedback in these cases is often along the lines of ‘OMG, you make this so much easier, why haven’t I done this before?’ Or ‘I would never have selected that CV, that candidate interview was awesome!’ Yes, anyone can recruit. But not everyone has years of knowledge, skill and experience to search, select and interview in the way a skilled recruiter can. Recruiters are experts, like any other specialist and do add value in helping you make the best choice for your business.

Parents: I see so many parents posting online (especially on Facebook) asking for help to find their teen or young adult a job. The post usually goes along the lines of “Hi, my son Johnny is 18 and looking for his first job after completing school, please contact me if you can help him”

Firstly, It’s so fantastic that you support your kids! Hooray! We need more parents like you….
….BUT
In my view, you seeking help on their behalf just makes them seem un-motivated, or disorganised. No employer wants an un-motivated employee. So, if you really want to help them, set them up for success by giving them the tools to job seek and post online themselves!

Many will sat “oh, but my Johnny doesn’t have Facebook”. I will tell you something, your child is tech savvy. Probably wayyyy more than you. So, get your child to make a page, and get proactive and support them by encouraging them to get out there and independently put a post up themselves!

Smart Tip: Applying for “hundreds of jobs” is generally NOT smart job seeking.

I am seeing many folk online explaining how they have applied for hundreds of jobs without success. In most cases, people I speak to in these situations are sending CV’s off to almost any vacancy, regardless of their skill set, and paying no attention to detail.

Before applying ask yourself: Does your CV speak to the skills the employer is seeking in the job ad? Have you got the experience they have asked for? If not, do you have a cover letter explaining why? If you don’t tailor your job applications carefully, and take the time for each and every application you make, your CV will go straight to the no pile, wasting their time, and yours.

We are now so desperate for GOOD foster homes That we are open to short term fostering to give us some time to sort out permanent solutions for these babies.

We have over 15 rabbits, 3 guine pigs and a dog under our care that need a foster home ASAP.

You will have the following

- Team leader.
- Group chat with amazing support.
- Access to 2 exotic vets and an emergency Vet.
- Hay and food delivered to door.
- Guidance and information on rabbit care.
- All set up is provided

You can basically have the luxery of having a rabbit but not the expense or commitment.

This is also a fantastic way to decide if you want to adopt a rabbit or not.
