Every new campus brings more than classrooms and a new address.

It brings new programmes, new conversations and potentially new pathways for students.

James Ellis from EdVantage was in Auckland for the opening of the new Laurus Education campus, alongside Babisha Pandey and Bruce Huo from the Laurus team.

As EdVantage continues to build relationships across New Zealand, we're excited to keep discovering institutions and opportunities that can genuinely add value to the students we work with.

One more connection made. One more door worth exploring.

Some thank-yous have a very long story behind them. ❤️

11 years ago, Lijo John arrived in Auckland as a student through EdVantage.

Today, he’s a settled New Zealand citizen, has built a life with his family — and recently walked back into our Auckland office with a little gift and a very big “Thank You.”

Eleven years later.

That’s the kind of moment that reminds us why we do what we do. 🥹

Thank you, Lijo, for coming back and for carrying a little piece of that journey with you all these years.

Some journeys come full circle. Some relationships last far beyond the visa. ❤️🇳🇿

A new country. A new classroom. A whole new chapter. 🇳🇿📚

Congratulations to Mary Babu from Bengaluru on her successful student visa!

She’s now all set to begin her Green List Teaching programme at NZTC and take another step towards her career goals in New Zealand.

From Bengaluru to New Zealand, one more dream is officially on its way to becoming reality. ✨

Wishing you the very best for the journey ahead, Mary!

Here’s some advice you may not want to hear but probably need to. 👀

Before you choose your course, your budget or even start thinking about your visa, there are a few uncomfortable truths worth knowing.

1️⃣ The “popular” course may not be the right course for you.
2️⃣ Cheapest ≠ best investment.
3️⃣ A strong visa application starts long before you apply.
4️⃣ Immigration pathways can change. Your skills still matter.
5️⃣ Life abroad requires adaptability — not just good grades.

Because good advice isn't about telling students what they want to hear.

It’s about telling them what they need to hear.

James Ellis shares 5 things he believes every student should consider before making their move.

🎥 Watch the reel and tell us: Which one surprised you the most?

Two visas. One shared dream. One exciting new chapter in New Zealand. 🇳🇿❤️

A big congratulations to Dinuk, who is beginning his Green List journey at Unitec, and Kasundara, who is joining him in New Zealand on a spouse visa.

Because sometimes, the best part of starting a new journey is knowing you don't have to take it alone. ✨

Here’s to new beginnings, new opportunities and building a beautiful life together in New Zealand.

Congratulations, Dinuk & Kasundara! 🇳🇿

Everyone talks about *which university* to choose.

Far fewer people talk about a decision that can shape your budget, lifestyle, part-time work opportunities, networking, and even your overall student experience: The city you choose.

The "best" city isn't always the biggest, most popular, or highest ranked.

It's the one that aligns with:
📚 Your course
💼 Your career goals
💰 Your budget
🌱 Your preferred lifestyle

A city that works perfectly for one student may be completely wrong for another.
Before making a study abroad decision, it's worth asking:
What kind of student life are you actually looking for?
Swipe through and see which New Zealand city matches your goals.

👇 If you could study in one NZ city tomorrow, where would you choose and why?
Or send us a DM with "CITY" and we'll help you explore your options.

🇳🇿 vs 🇦🇺

The internet has opinions.
Your cousin has opinions.
Your neighbour's friend's brother definitely has opinions. 😅

But when it comes to studying abroad, the real question isn't:

"Which country is better?"

It's:

"Which country is better for ME?"

Because the right destination depends on your goals, your budget, your career plans, and the life you want to build after graduation.

There isn't a universal winner.

There is only the right fit.

👇 Let's settle this in the comments:

Team 🇳🇿 New Zealand
or
Team 🇦🇺 Australia

Tell us your choice and one reason why.

📩 Still undecided? DM "COMPARE" and we'll help you evaluate both options based on your profile.

Good things often begin with a good conversation🤝🇳🇿

Our director, James Ellis recently met with Prashant N Puttaswamy, International Marketing Manager at NMIT, at the EdVantage Auckland office.

Always great to connect with people working towards creating better opportunities for students and strengthening the bridge between education and global aspirations.

Here’s to meaningful conversations, stronger connections and more possibilities ahead. ✨

Planning to study in New Zealand? Don’t start with Google. Start with the bigger picture. 🇳🇿

The Green List can be an important factor when thinking about your study and career plans, but it shouldn't be the only factor.

Your interests.
Your strengths.
Your skills.
Your career goals.
And yes, the demand for your profession.

Because the smartest study-abroad decision isn't simply about choosing a course that's “in demand”.

It’s where career demand meets personal passion.

In this reel, James Ellis breaks down what the Green List actually means and why students should look beyond a simple “Green List course” search.

🎥 Watch till the end.
