The name will be changed to "PATF (Practical Ability Test For Foreigners)".

With the help of this Test, foreigners can learn not only about business etiquette but also what is necessary for living and working in Japan.

GRADE 4 COURSE.
This is an entry-level exam for those who have just arrived in Japan or who want to work in Japan in the future.

This exam measures your proficiency in Japanese society, living in Japan, and Japanese business etiquette.

The questions are intended for Japanese level people equivalent to JLPT3 and JLPT4.

The culture in Japan differs largely from that of various other countries due to historical and geographical backgrounds. Many Japanese do not notice this cultural difference. Therefore, Japanese assume that foreigners will accept the Japanese culture.When people who were raised in cultures outside of Japan are active in a Japanese company, a variety of problems arise which originate from this different of culture. For foreigners to be able to blend in with Japanese culture, we feel it is best to first understand“What the differences are between Japanese culture and my home country?” and“Why it differs?”. With this opportunity of Japan Business Ability Authorize, we see it as our most important mission to help foreigners who work in Japanese companies in Japan and abroad to accurately understand Japanese culture and business manners, thereby enabling them to reach their fullest potential.

Association Establishment Purpose and Business Goal:

Due to the declining birthrate and aging population and increase in need of foreign workers, there is an urgent task of making foreigners understand Japanese culture and business practices.
Through the Japanese Business Manner Test, it is our desire and objective to minimize as much as possible the troubles arising from working in Japan brought about by cultural differences by educating foreigners about the characteristics of Japanese culture and business manner.
