>> Job Opening: Research Assistant Consumer and Marketing
Are you interested in sustainable food, consumer behaviour and research? 🌱 Maastricht University is looking for a student assistant to support a transdisciplinary project implementing the EAT-Lancet Planetary Health Diet across the Maastricht and Venlo campuses.
You’ll work closely with researchers on small-scale behavioural intervention studies and gain hands-on experience with consumer and marketing research.
What will you do?
• Help design and conduct behavioural intervention studies
• Collect data through surveys, structured interviews and focus groups
• Clean data and carry out preliminary analyses
• Conduct literature research
• Contribute to cost-benefit analyses and the project’s lessons learned toolkit
What are we looking for?
• You have a strong affinity with sustainability and the environment
• You have experience with quantitative research and data analysis
• You can work with tools such as SPSS, R and/or Python
• You are proficient in English
• You are enrolled at Maastricht University for the full duration of the project
• Preferably, you study at SBE and are in your third year or higher; experienced second-year students may also be considered
📅 Start: 1 October 2026
⏱ 12 hours per week for 8 months
🏠 Flexible working hours, with the possibility to partly work from home
💶 €19.61–€19.97 per hour, depending on your study stage, plus 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year-end bonus
