It's the question every kennismigrant (highly skilled migrant visa holder) hopes they never have to ask. Your residence permit is tied to your sponsoring employer, so losing the job starts a clock, usually just a few months to find a new one.

Marcé Olivier had to answer that question for real. A year into his first placement in the Netherlands, it ended without warning.

"Wendy came to Europe and all we got was this out-of-office reply." 😅

Our colleague Wendy Nelson flew in all the way from South Africa ahead of our company anniversary celebration and obviously, you can't fly all the way to Europe without seeing some of it first.

First stop: Paris 🇫🇷 Wendy and Elzanne ticked off all the Paris must-sees together.

Next stop: Cologne, Germany 🇩🇪 with Jesica, because when you're already on the continent, why not?

So if you got an out-of-office reply from one of our team last week, now you know. Some serious bonding happened on the road.

This week, Wendy's trading cobblestones for our office as she joins us in person, and she'll finally get to meet the Profield team face to face. We're a full house at the office this week!

Changing lives doesn't just happen behind a screen. Sometimes it means hopping on a plane and making memories with the people who help make it all happen.
